American Soprano Anne Wieben has been described as possessing "a beautiful, large, and marvelously placed voice", and as "a name to be noted" (Ruch Muzyczne Nr. 16). Upon graduation from the University of Minnesota with her Bachelor in Music, magna cum laude, Ms. Wieben moved to Vienna, Austria, where she completed her Master in Opera Performance at the Konservatorium Wien. She has studied with KS Gabriele Sima and Paulette Vineyard Herbich.

In summer 2011 Ms.Wieben gave her role debut as Donna Anna in Don Giovanni at the Pasinger Fabrik,Munich. Critics hailed her as "sensual" and "secure" (Münchner Merkur) with a "hint of femme fatal in her velvety soprano" (Süddeutsche Zeitung). Later that year, Wieben sang the lead role of Diana in Anton Urpsruch’s opera Das Unmöglichste von Allem. Her performance was revered as "captivating" and "radiant" with a "warm-sounding yet clear voice" (Neue Merker). She also recorded the role for Marco Polo Records with a planned release in fall 2012.

In 2010, she was invited to Foxford, Ireland to sing the soprano solos in Mozart’s C Minor Mass and Mendelssohn’s Elijah, and the same year she sang the role of Avril in Michael Nyman’s minimalistic opera Love Counts in Vienna. Wieben has also been heard as the soprano soloist in Saint-Saens Christmas Oratorio and Faure’s Requiem in Minneapolis, Minnesota. On the concert stage she has sung Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, Musetta in La Boheme, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte. Contessa in Le Nozze di Figaro, Agathe in Der Freischütz, and Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni.

Wieben began her career as a mezzo soprano and sang, amongst others, Dorabella in Così fan tutte (Odeon Theater, Vienna), Niklausse in Les Contes d'Hoffman (Theater Akzent, Vienna), Vittoria in The Gondoliers (Kammeroper, Vienna), Frau Madaldrut in Siegfried Wagner's Der Schmied von Marienburg (Gdansk Philharmonic, Gdansk Poland) and Frau Schuster-Bellheim in Ziehrer’s Die Drei Wünsche, a role she recorded for CPO Records.
